Sandia Bertha

Ok, ya'll. Let's talk about Sandia Bertha, a 2023 introduction from two of my very favorite hybridizers, Mr. & Mrs. Boley from Birch Bay Dahlias. The name Bertha has been used to describe big, powerful things like howitzer weapons, drums, golf clubs, and even a Marvel character. Generally speaking, a "Big Bertha" is associated with something unusually large for its class. This phenomenal waterlily is just that, coming in with blooms of up to 7"!

If you're a waterlily fan, you have to have Sandia Bertha. She's got gorgeous, dark green foliage and did just fine in my NM climate. She also makes fantastic tubers, if that's your thing. You won't be disappointed!
