Cafe au Lait

The bona fide queen of the dinner plate dahlias, Cafe au Lait is a requirement for a richly textured and visually interesting garden.She never fails to get a "WOW" from visitors and simply amazes me every time I see a new bloom. She did great in the NM sun, but definitely required staking since she is a big bloom on 4' stalks. 

NOTE: Cafe au Lait has many sub-varieties. While we do believe this is the "plain" variety (as if!), there is always the risk that during the hectic season we accidentally mixed in a Cafe au Lait Rose, Royal, or Cream. We don't think so, but it could happen.
